8.97 kWP GRID CONNECTED ROOFTOP SOLAR PLANT AT EXOTIC PALACE CO OP HOUSING SOCIETY VERSOVA, MUMBAI.
Versova is an upmarket neighbourhood in the north-western Mumbai. It is known for its beach and the Versova Fort. Versova was originally a small fishing village of the Kolis, but now one of the residential hub for film industries.
To Limit the electricity consumption shares of common services, the members of Exotic Palace CHS located at Versova have taken various initiatives. As a part of society’s initiative, 8.97 kWp Grid Connected Rooftop Solar PV Plant is established on the roof.
The Society has installed solar power plant on unused area of roof (staircase mumty and Water tanks) without hampering use able area of roof.
To establish the desire capacity of solar power plant advance modules were used (Half cut cells). Specialty design module mounting structure were used at the site with limited possibilities of innovation.
To avail net metering facilities to existing multiple meters were club to single meter with load extension. Special precautions were taken care to interconnect new solar power generated with obsolete existing system.
Hand holding support was provided to over cautious client and faith on installed power plant regain by providing necessary training about the system. The Society is harnessing energy from sun and is paying negligible amount of energy charges after availing net metering benefits.
