100 kWP GRID CONNECTED ROOFTOP SOLAR PLANT AT BSNL JUHU MUMBAI
BSNL has its regional seven storey Administrative Office building in Juhu, Mumbai Maharashtra.
To reduce the expenditure on energy charges, BSNL has established 100 kWp Grid Connected Solar PV Power Plant on roof.
The project was implemented in OPEX mode under SECI scheme through AGE RCC (Client).
Modules and Inverters were free supplied by client.
Considering heavy rains in Mumbai region, BSNL has provided special membrane for frequent water proofing requirement of roof. The module mounting structures are pasted with the special adhesive bond keeping 600 mm bottom clearance between Modules and roof.
The site had unique power distribution arrangement through vertical busbars upto terrace level. The Solar Power generated is connected with these busbars with special isolation and metering arrangements. The above arrangements were approved by local utility (Reliance Energy) after Valid justifications and supporting documents.
The project was completed in record time line, considering financial year closing. An extra ordinary support was extended by BSNL including special permission for extended working hours.
The Project was inaugurated by CMD of BSNL and Senior officer from Reliance Energy.
